“ Old Hampton Seafood off the chain! Every time I come to Hampton, I got to have it. Take out only, but it is worth it! Whiting & Flounder is top notch. Recommendation: If you are going to get any take out order of seafood in Hampton, this is the place to go. No hype, I' m hooked! ”
“ My first stop whenever I come home! Thanks Ella, for another awesome crab cake dinner and shrimp basket! Love the slaw and sweet tea too. I've had everything on this menu over the years and I've never been disappointed. ”
“ The kitchen did not disappoint! My husband stopped for lunch takeout. They are adhering to COVID protocols. He had the shrimp and clam Po'boy sandwich and onion rings. I had the shrimp and crab cake combo with seasoned fries , coleslaw and hush puppies. Everything was very delicious and an ample portion. Definitely try it! ”
“ The crab cakes are soooo good. As a meal, just prepare for a long nap. I went here during my lunch break and was useless the rest of the day at the office. (Visited just before Covid) ”
“ Shrimp Po' Boy was nicely prepared! Shrimp was breaded just right! Spices were nicely balanced. Fresh and not overcooked. Cole slaw was light crunchy and very tasty. The sweet tea was just the right drink for this order. I'll be back! ”
“ This spot is nice. It's been there for some time and it is rather inexpensive. I'm partial to the Whiting fish sandwich. It's a small diving spot not too far from downtown. I usually stop in here on my way home from work to grab something to eat. The wait does not take that long and they have a nice sized menu.. definitely a local gem in Hampton.. ”
“ I remember my mother patronizing this establishment when I was a tiny bopper. I stopped in today while I waited to get new tires at Tread Quarters because it's only a block or so away - definitely walking distance. I ordered the crab cake sandwich, and at 6 bucks it was a steal! It was a decent size (about the size of a regular burger) and delicious! It was almost entirely composed of crab meat (very little filler). It's was seasoned perfectly - I got it fully loaded with tartar, lettuce, tomato, and hot sauce. My side of coleslaw was yummy as well (I like mine a little sweet). My only criticism is that I requested water to drink, and was told that they were out of bottled water, and do not serve customers ice water in cups...i find that very unprofessional and annoying. Water is basic, and I'm diabetic and don't do sugary drinks It's a small and unassuming little place, but the have outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade. I'm glad they're still around after so many years (my 70-year-old uncle says since he was young!!) I grabbed a take out menu because I'll be returning soon....hopefully they'll have water next time. ”
“ Not your average seafood restaurant! Clean and doesn't smell like the old seafood houses! We were greeted with a smile and ample time to order. The menu is on the counter and above. Everything is cooked made to order. We looked for this place last year and never found it. Answer is that it's a hidden gem! Indoor and outdoor seating! I will definitely comeback! ”
